Wat does a Sales Manager do at Jotem water solutions?
As a Sales Manager you are responsible for all commercial activities within Jotem. From strategy formation and expanding & maintaining the customer portfolio to managing the sales team. Together with your sales colleagues, you develop a future-proof plan with strategic objectives, and you jointly ensure that all associated business processes function properly.
The sales portfolio includes all our projects, Hydropilots, Hydroprofs and extensive service & maintenance jobs. As a Sales Manager you report to the board of Jotem water solutions and you are part of the Management Team.
Profile:
- Job level: HBO or WO education in a commercial direction (such as commercial economics or industrial engineering);
- At least 5 years of relevant management experience;
- A good knowledge of both the Dutch & English language in word and writing;
- Knowledge of the German language is an advantage;
- Experience in water treatment is an advantage;
- You have a commercial and technical insight and negotiation skills. You are also communicative, customer-oriented, and you think in terms of solutions. Finally, the terms result-oriented, leading and motivating, and stress-resistant all belong to your qualities.

What are you going to do?
- Strategic account management & purchasing policy;
- Achieving sales targets (margin & department related);
- Drawing up a periodic sales plan;
- Determining the (individual) targets;
- Keeping track of the developments in the market;
- Determining the medium-term commercial course;
- Implementing and adjusting the sales plan, including associated goals;
- Multidisciplinary sparring with colleagues to match both commercial activities and objectives to customer wishes and available capacity;
- Provide feedback and report to the Managing Board;
- Manage, train and evaluate sales team performance & oversee daily operations;
- Drafting and executing the marketing plan for the sales portfolio;
- Active participation in the Management Team
