Multimedia desalination filters
To this day, drinking water is not a given in many parts of the world. Especially in places where fresh water is difficult to access. That’s why King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, is investigating how seawater can be processed to produce high-quality drinking water as reliably and efficiently as possible. We are helping them do just that. With a simple-to-run, reliable desalination pilot system for long-term experiments.
Multimedia desalination filters
KAUST’s research usually focuses on the effect of the quality of pretreated water on the performance of reverse osmosis systems. A few things are essential for this: reliable filtration, for weeks or even months, and a control system that is simple to use. With our pilot unit, KAUST has at its disposal multimedia desalination filters and ASMBLR software, and performance is continuously controlled and monitored remotely. Moreover, the control system is intuitive, allowing even inexperienced students to use the unit properly. The result? We were able to provide the university with a custom solution and contribute to more efficient drinking water production worldwide.
